on wat basis do deemed medical colleges in TN( sri ramachandra,meenakshi,SRM,etc) select students?...is it only thru their entrance or thru all india exams like AIIMS?

The deemed colleges you mentioned are selecting the candidates through their own entrance partly and through the common examination results partly. Some are in AIIMS. If you want to know about the colleges search it through yahoo.

TAMIL NADU PROFESSIONAL COURSES ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (TNPCEE) is conducted by Anna University, Chennai for admission to all professional courses in Tamil Nadu Including MBBS, BDS, BPharm, BPT/BOT, BSc (Nursing) courses for all ‘Free seats and Payment Seats’ in Government, Government Aided and private medical colleges. Exemption Govt of India Nominees, Diploma Holders for BPharm course, NRIs candidates.
Annamalai university, Annamalainagar and Christian medical College, Vellore, Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai (Deemed University) have framed separate entrance test/admission rules which may be referred at appropriate place. :
