Dog Jumping out window. No the dog was not harmed. The glass did break. Thank harder. Maybe it was poor workship on the flex a glass company. Any more guesses?

Hi, I did have a dog that jumped through a closed window once - it was because there was a dog outside and he wanted to fight with it. We got back from shopping to find that the neighbour had boarded the window up and sorted the dogs out. The other dog's owner was stupid and tried to get us to pay her vet's fees even though it was her dog that had been running loose and caused the problem in the first place.
We made sure it didn't happen again by shutting him out of that room and just letting him stay in the rooms that had higher windows when we were out.
Don't know about faulty windows - a jumping dog has a lot of weight and force so I would expect the glass to break - like if a person jumped through it really. I suppose you could try putting that stick on plastic over the window to stop the glass breaking, but I think you should also address the reasons why the dog would want to jump out.
Sorry if this is not very helpful
