Please answer only the ones you know! I have hair past my elbow, is that one of the reasons why I can't curl?

Long hair is definitely much harder to curl--and once do you curl it, its difficult to keep it. Is your hair mostly one length or do you have layers? Layers makes it a lot easier to curl long hair--and to keep it curly :)

For awhile my hair was pretty long--about to the middle of my back without any layers--and I used hot rollers. I would section off my hair and roll the roller all the way up to my scalp and then clip it up there. I'd remove them only after the roller had cooled. That makes a big difference :) This definitely takes awhile--but its worth it. I've also had my hair layered for awhile, and I love it! I can still have the length but also more body, manageability, and movement. A lot easier to curl :)

The weight of your hair is defeniatly the problem! If you want to keep it long and curl it, just get it layered a bit! Then you can roller it nice! I mostly dry my hair with a blow dryer, then when it's just a bit damp, roll two inch sections in large rollers. Let them sit and spritz hairspray on them, then blowdry all the rollers until they feel dry. You'll get bouncy large curls and can use a curling iron to pick a few top pieces out to curl. I use much smaller setions on top with the curling iron for a really curly look without all the work. (Spray each piece with a styling spray (Redken has a good one called hot shot) before rolling around curling iron. It's pretty hot if you can get it to work!

If you are looking for a great spiral, use foam rollers that are all foam (no plastic) and actually resemble a 'key'. They work like magic on long hair. I know this because my daughter has hair down to her waist, and she is often in irish dance competitions (which she has to have her hair like this). It does take a lot of gel, but if you put it in your hair when it is dry, and sleep on them for a night, your hair can stay curly for a few days. The more hair you put on one curler the more loose the curl is. Hope this helps, and good luck!!

I have very long hair as well :) And my hair would never curl either. But after asking around....I found a way to make it curl and its gorgeous :) with your hair wet ... take styling gel / freezing gel / styling foam...anything that holds your hair good :) put it in your hair (one strand at a time) and curl your hair on perm curlers :) sleep on them over night....or...you can take a hair dryer and dry your hair.....all of this does take a way but I promise your hair will be beautiful :)

maybe.

ok you get the culler and where you open it to put your hair in the middle, put outside, not facing you.

see the trick is doing a curl and go with the curl. like the curling iron roll it going inside not out side. then put it upward. hold for a couples second, dont burn your hair!!

then put it upward and let go.

hope it work, but hopefully you get a better explanation! :)

possibly
Try putting smaller amounts of hair onto medium sized rollers when damp using setting lotion and try a piggy back roller set and then let your hair air dry or sit under a dryer depending upon how much time you have
