I imagine most Americans would. As a legal immigrant, I know I would. I resent the fact that people come here, do not pay taxes, take welfare, repatriate their wages overseas and yet the US Government seems so blase about it.
Since I came here five years ago, my only expenditure abroad has been some flowers on my mother's birthday and only because my old local florist is so good about getting things right - very important when its your mother, don't you think. Apart from that, I spend my money in the american economy, supporting American jobs as much as possible.
I agree that we need to clamp down on the illegal-employing businesses as much as the illegals themselves. In fact, that should be our main focus. Cause the jobs to dry up for illegals and it will be a whole lot easier for us. The illegals will do the deporting for us. Then the honest businesses can flourish and employ the 12 million Americans currently either seeking work or who have given up looking (check out the stats at bls.gov) to replace the estimated 12 million illegals. Full employment at no cost and criminals driven out of business. What is so wrong with that?

If someone is here illegally they should be required to leave. What part of illegal do immigrants not understand?? If you want to live in the United States then complete the legal process to become a citizen. If you thinks it too hard or too complicated, then you don't want it bad enough. Just because you lived here for a long time doesn't mean you should be entitled to citizenship. You broke the United States immigration laws. That makes you a criminal not a citizen.

They can't escape the simple fact that they are breaking the law. They should not be allowed to enjoy the benefits of the country. Most other countries in the world imprison or deport them but not in the USA.
The mood is changing though. It could be fixed overnight if laws would be enforced and one created to make it a felony to hire illegals. Without work, they have no choice but to return to their country of origin.
Everyone should spread the word that IRS Form 3949 can be submitted on any employer suspected of hiring illegals. They would be investigated for hiring undocumented people.

America is creating a lot more jobs than our capacity to make more babies, a lot more Americans will retire this year than young Americans starting to work.
Yes they have to be deported because they are breaking the law.
If we need more workers they have to be really educated in the field that they are going to be working and they have to come here legally to stop wages from going down.

Depends on if they are going to be American citizens or not, and stay in this country. At some point or another all of Americans were aliens and came to this country for a reason. I think these people should be givin an option to be citizens, if they don't want to become a citizen then deport them.

The first thing illegals did when they entered our country was broke a law. These people are free to apply for gov. subsidised food, housing, education, and healthcare that our taxes pay for. Oh yeah, and illegals don't pay taxes. Some of our politicians believe we should allow them to vote. What kind of crack are they smoking??
DEPORT THEM ALL!!!!!!!

If an immigrant is here illegally, yes. Why should others have to go through the process, and the illegals be given special privilege?

no i don't agree. because of the lack of spots availible for people to come over legally some ppl are forced to come here illegally. I agree that that's wrong but we should try to help them become legal and also allow more immigrants in. There is a reason they come over here. They don't leave there home, jobs, family, and friends to make ppl mad. They come over here looking for the better life that is offered. people who don't want to help them because they don't want to give up more money are very greedy. We need to help these ppl in need.
peace

Why deport them, they will just come back. I think they ought to be jailed, but that would be just another way we would have to pay for them.

This American wouldn't. I think we should work on securing our borders more from this point on, and we should continue whining about how we didn't in the past and now our country has had this explosion of undocumented people. However, I do not support any attempts to massively deport millions of people. They are here now. I think mass deportation would have detrimental consequences on the US's reputation. (Even worse than it already is)
