I have this redness in the skin on both sides of my lower lip; actually is kind of pink. Even though it doesn't bother me, I have had this for a very long time and it won't go away and I'm getting a little worried. I wonder what it could be?

hmmm you may be getting a fever blister or cold sore.... get some carmex or blistex it'll help!!

I had a redness on both corners of my lips for about a year. It was a symptom of iron deficiency. In your situation, this may or may not be the case. Could be some form of deficiency other than iron, could be a lot of things really. Try using the blistex that comes in the blue container, it's pretty powerful. I would have a doctor check it out if you've had it for more than a few weeks.

Wow, some of the answers are scary. However, if you haven't been doing anything naughty, it might just be eczema, a skin condition which can happen because of many reasons like stress. Go to a dermatologist and it can be cured quite easily..

Could be a vitamin deficiency, thrush, heredity, some kind of inflamation or just plain normal. How long is very long.? See an EMT...

go to your doctor and get it checked out. It may be from the Sun, and it is affecting your skin just there, or it may just be a type of eczema which is treatable also

You could have herpes simplex 1. I would go to the doctor and have it checked out.
