Everytime I ask a question relating to the Old Testament and how Christians today do not follow it even though Jesus said the Laws told in it still stand true now and forever, I get answers basically saying that the Laws DO still stand true, but that Jesus took all possible punishment for the breaking of these moral codes.

So pretty much the question I have now is... why do you (and you know who you are) care about the way, for example, homosexuals act when Jesus took their punishment for them? You say it is an abomination, and yet so is eating shellfish as told in the very same Leviticus, but I won't have people protesting outside my door for eating those delicious shrimp cocktails, will I? http://www.godhatesshrimp.com/

I would stay away from pork & shellfish. God created all animals and He (the Creator) knows whats healthy & unhealthy for us to eat.
You can read up on it yourself.

There are two parts to your question:

1) Just because Jesus has paid for our sins doesn't mean we can run around killing people and acting like idiots. We must stand against all sin at all times, no matter if it's killing, lying, cheating, homosexuality, stealing, farting in public (kidding) etc. Matter of fact, if you are still living an unrepentant sinful life then that is a sure sign that you have not yet claimed Jesus' washing of your sins... but that's another topic. Paul addresses this very issue of sinning after salvation has been made available to us by grace through Jesus Christ:

Rom 6:15 "What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid."

He then continues on with the answer through verse 23.

2) Most attempts to discredit Christians through the Old Testament is due to a misconception. The Old and New Testaments are different in one very important way:

Mat 5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill."

Rom 6:14 "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace."

Christians are not bound by the Mosaic Law (Old Testament, Law of Moses, Jewish Law, Pentateuch, etc.). The New Testament affirms this many times. The Old Law was a covenant that was FULFILLED when Jesus died. Therefore, it is no longer in effect. Thus, the dietary laws no longer apply.

Remember, we are saved by grace alone, not by following Old Testament laws. Jesus Christ fulfilled the law for all of us sinners.

I undestand your distress. Christ never forced his words upon the people nor did his disciples. They spoke the truth and that is what they were accountable for.
They were not accountable for the individual or societies response to the truth.
We hear paul state that he spoke all that was in his heart and that was all he was responsible for. He didn't force people to believe him.
Christians are in error in much of there protesting because they use force. That is not the way of truth. Just speak the truth and let God do the rest.
Christ symbolizes the law and He fulfilled the law which is perfect just as he is perfect. We follow Christ and strive to be perfect but he is our High priest who makes intercession for our transgressions of the law. The law does stand true because Jesus is the law in it's entirety. That is why we stand with him.

The verses on shrimp, etc, God is telling us it is an abomination to US, not him. In the OT, there's lots of verses that tells us what is healthy and good for us to eat, and shellfish just aren't one of them. Also, it can also be an abomination to the Lord b/c we are eating something unhealthy, and that damages our body which is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It's okay to have shrimp sometimes but not on a daily, or weekly basis.

God hates the sin not the sinner. We all sin, we are all imperfect. To God a sin is a sin. Whether you use is name in vain or you committ adultry. Your punishment on earth for your sins might be different but if you ask God for forgiveness he will forgive you. People should not judge other people but they will. Just like people judge me for having many tattoos. Im a good guy, they dont know that. Homosexuals are good people too, I know some and I am cool with them and lesbians. We are all sinners we have to just try our best.

if you'll just read a part of the Bible and interpret it as you understand it, then there's no sense arguing.. =)

the meaning of each verses there is interpreted and are understood with relation to the verses preceeding or after it.

the wholeness is considered when adding inqueries about it. you don't read the Old Testament and question the New. it is like anovel that you don't skip the parts and say, it is non-sense..

Christ said He is the fulfillment of the law.

When Christ violated the laws of the sabbath, He said that man was not created for the sabbath but the sabbath for man.

"Not by righteous deeds that we have done, have we been saved."
forgot that one didnt you?
How about, "By the blood of bulls and goats shall no flesh be spared." Old Testament and New Testament mean Covenant, pact signed in blood. The old testament was the blood of animals, the new testament is the blood of Christ.

The Levitical Laws never applied to gentiles and not to Christians, just the Israelites. The Hebrew Scriptures are set before us as an example of how God deals with humans, those who obey him and those who don't. God said that all foods are clean now as long as we give thanks, and homosexuality is still condemed in Romans chapter 1.

Anal sodomy is worse than eating shellfish, and it's not what goes into the mouth of a person that defiles a person - it's what comes out of it (that appears in the New Testament).

Get out of your delusion and stop trying to justify filth and perversion by twisting, mixing and matching scriptures. You don't need a bible to understand that two men lying together is completely and totally depraved and sick. This is according to the law of common sense, which you don't appear to have.

As we have stated before, homosexuality is condemned in the New Testament also. Do you need chapter and verse?
