Love is not lightly to be taken of. It's a scary commitment once two people exchange the phrase. Words can hurt as well as heal, meaning they are powerful and are not to be abused.

She's either still pondering upon the thought if she's ready to say the phrase or is just too afraid to say it out. Give her some space; I personally would not refute the statement and say "brotherly, sisterly" kind of thing. It's just too plain to see that you are covering up the story, thus causing more mistrust in the relationship. Through time, she might forget about it and things will somewhat reach a normality. Heck, she's probably flattered by your declaration of love, so don't worry about it. Human embrace the love they recieve, however, there are certain limitations to that love and it may also cause crevices in which some would call, in modern day, breaking up. However, your love for friendship seems to be quite secure.

But I'm going off on a tangent now; bottom line is that you should just wait it out and start being more of a friend for now. I'm not saying to break up; but you need to brush up on the friendship department between the two of you and reassure her that you are there for her as a friend as well and not just as a boyfriend.

Hope that helps and Good Luck

I think a girl takes those words way more seriously and will only say it after a few months.. don't say it every time you talk to her on the phone or in person act like u could get better than her. She'll like u more if u r harder to get.....so chill with the love thing.. you all agree?

maybe it was a suprise to her, a month is kinda fast... how long have you known her... maybe she doesn't feel that way YET so she didn't want to say it just to say it... when she say's it she'll mean it... you havne't screwed up yet a) if she's still talking to you b) if she'll still go out with you c) things seem ok other then her not saying it back........ =) you should be ok.. just dont try to move to fast... maybe keep things the same as they are now. you dont want to freak her out... sometimes going to fast can mess things up... taking things slow is a good idea. =) dont' say you dind' tmean it, and don't try to force her ot say it, she will when the time is right. =)

If you told how you feel you didn't screw up. Some people take longer to figure out if they love somebody or not. She may or may not reply the same in the future.

I do believe in love at first sight but your girlfriend might be a bit cautious, which is good! It's not good to think you are in love right away because you should get to know the person before saying those 3 words. You have to be sure it is love and not lust!

It is hard to say if you screwed up or not. You may have taken her by surprise and she didn't know what to say. Give it a few days to let everything sort itself out.

Well, no one can tell what really happened here. Just your feeling...Anyway, try to think positively if you stilll like her . She might need to figure out something in her time frame. Talk to her as usual like a good friend, do not bring this issue up with her for a while. Spend more good time with her...Good luck!

You have got to have compatible vibes. It sounds as though you were not meant for each other.
