IT ALL depends on what you are cooking and how much wine you use.
say chicken in a white wine and cream sauce is ok as most of the alcohol is cooked off.

Assuming the wine is being added early enough in the preparation that the alcohol will have enough time to cook out then it is totally safe.

There are also several alcohol alternatives that you could substitute for the wine in your recipe. See the link below for some examples.

Yes it is. as nearly all of the alcohol would be burned off during the cooking process. but again that depends on what you are making. if it is for a sauce add the wine to the pan earlier and turn up the heat for a about thirty seconds.

Usually since cooking with wine and spirits is for adding flavor you shouldn't have to worry much...especially since all of the alcohol cooks out of it at high temperatures

Yes, I believe so. I've had fondue since I was a child, and my father loves to put wine in it to add flavor. Never once affected me. Just don't go crazy with how much wine you use in your cooking.

unless you are adding the wine after the peak temperature is reached and maintained yes it is safe...most, if not all, of the alcohol is lost due to the heat...at the very worst, if your child does get some of the wine..it is very unlikely that he/she will get an amount that is damaging..think of the amount in the dish divided up into the amount of servings..now even further divide the amount of wine versus the amount of ingredients and amounts used in the dish and take into consideration the child's age and weight..children take communion and are not harmed by it..Hope this helps!! God bless!!!

as long as you cook it,all the alcohol will be gone in the steam, but my experience is that most kids are not to fond of the taste of wine in their foods.

Yes, because the cooking process removes the alcohol (it evaporates long before the boiling point of water).

Yes. The alcohol evaporates at 172 degrees F. What's left is the sugar, which provides the flavor.

I would have thought so as the alcohol is evaporated during the cooking process.
