Well it is not legal immigration that is on the rise, it is ILLEGAL immigration on the rise. So it's kind of a pointless question as those here illegally are breaking the laws and therefore will be deported, no matter where they come from.

Yes the US will become a mostly Latino country. However, it will be just like the Irish, Italian, Chinese etc. Americans. They will be American, they will bring new ideas with them but they will be no different than the people that are already here.

The BBC did a report on America and all the different people that are here and they said how becoming an American is so easy because we are a melting pot.

Most of the Latinos that live near me are Cuban. The one family lives up the road and they are a typical American family. I don't see a problem if Latinos become the majority, we are all Americans.

No, it won't. Yes, Latinos will continue to grow, and may at one point be dominant, but if the U.S. were to lose its status as a major world power, many Latinos will either quietly assimilate or return to their countries.
I know of Irish- and Italian-Americans considering moving to Ireland and Italy, respectively, when they retire. I think that trend is going to grow.
Also look at history. At its height, Rome was full of foreigners (Greeks, Gauls, Germans, etc) -- when Rome fell, these foreigners all went home.
Moscow used to have more foreigners (from Communist countries); now they see no point in living there.

Of course, that is why everyone is so scared of the topic. California is already more than half hispanic and Texas and Florida aren't far behind. I think this is the reason we have to get through some of the thick heads that illegal immigration is not racism, but a real problem.

It is possible for them to become the racial majority and a lower class majority, but doubtful that they will dominate, because they are co-dependent. I also can't see the whites allowing a power shift without war.

Observer - A sure bet is, that this red Indian, thinks it is foolish to use the spirits of my ancestors to illustrate weak points in support of illegal immigration.

Illegal immigrants from Mexico will continue to come here by the millions because out government is incompetent. Mexicans breed like rabbits. Mexicans born here are automatically U.S. citizens. All U.S. politicians will eventually be Mexican because most voters will be Mexican. Crime and gangs will be out of control. Poverty will be rampant. This country is heading for ruin.

If we moved all Mexicans here the U.S. population would not be latino.
If we stopped all illegals coming in to our country, we would save us all taxes we pay for their use by illegals: medical, schools, illegal citizenships, taxes lost by not paying illegals, etc..
have been saying for years that we need to do a Constitutional amendment. We the People need to demand that a amendment to the Constitution states that if your here illegal, You or a born child on our soil can not become a citizen, you can receive no health care, medical supplies, welfare, or any other item that comes free to U.S. citizens, as well as stating that Illegals have no rights under the Constitution as to legal counsel, trail to stay here, or anything that can delay them in our country, just that they will be deported ASAP, to the farthest point in their own country, also in this amendment it will punish employers for hireling with harsh fines, putting owners and CEOs in jail for years requiring them to pay the lost taxes on illegals, lost SS, lost medical collected, lost school fees for teachers, etc., just keep piling on the fees and punishment.
If there are no jobs why would an illegal come here? If there are no jobs, free things for them to steal, no gift citizenship, no schools, no medical then they would go home.
We let in some 1 million legal aliens a year that take years to apply and come, why should We the People just give criminals (illegals) citizenship or any other thing we paid for all our life?

Here the sites you need as We the People to contact your Congressman and demand that this type law is done now, not years from now. Threaten to get this out in your area, to vote them out, etc…

Its possible, look at us Irish. We eventually went everywhere. The difference though is we fought hard to overcome, fought the wars,(from the revolution on)assimilated, upon arrival to overcome our stereo types cast upon us,wish I could say the same about the new breed of immigrants, illegal and otherwise, but they would rather march in the streets holding another countries flag and demand what the Irish worked so hard to achieve. They Just want it handed to them

Don't know if it will happen. As we have more and more immigration, this country won't be as desirable a place to come to and the blood sucking will have killed the golden goose! It has happened that way for centuries. I don't know when we quit teaching History in school. That is why things repeat themselves!

Yes,especially if they continue to let greedy corporations hire illegal immigrants without enforcing the law which makes that a crime. This practice would come to a screeching halt if they started jailing the CEO's that have their personnel dept. hire illegals.
