Not a direct relationship, in that one prompted the other.
But both share a common casual relationship.
Actions by the administration over the past few years indicate a lack of respect for the law. If the govt doesn't follow the law, then why should anyone else. Hence a rise in almost all types of crime.

I agree with Coragryphon, but I think there is an additional factor, and that is the bad economy (that is, it's bad for all but rich folks). I have noticed that when people can't find jobs and are out on the streets, violence and violent crime increase.

True. However - can you effectively separate which murders were done by Legals and Americans? And which murders were done by illegal foreigners? Or does the news bother to tell the American people that information??
Because somewhere in my questions - I believe that there is a direct correlation of illegals bringing dope across the borders and the murders occurring.

Political intentions are high, but any relation would probably stem from the poor economy caused by the wars.

Violent crimes have risen because of more anti-gun legislation. If more people felt free and exercised their right to carry firearms, don't you think criminals would be less willing to attempt violent crime?
What about WWII? THE ENTIRE WORLD WAS IN A WAR and do you think people blamed crime rates on that?????

No connection. War by definition is violent.
Any increase in violence in the U.S. is the result of lower moral standards. Children are now being taught in our government (a.k.a. public) schools, that there is no God, they evolved from primordial slime, that there is no absolute right or wrong, and that morality is relative. Therefore, why shouldn't people excersise their right of CHOICE by choosing whatever their little heart desires? Afterall, we don't want to be judgemental or intolerant.....do we?
