Your problem is that you have made her an outdoor cat now. I also have a cat. I found her as a kitten outside on the street. I brought her into my home as the dogs would have killed her. I did not know she was alive with fleas and went thru hell with them. It took me a year to heal from the bites, and I had to fumigate the place and take her for a flea bath. Be sure you spade or neuter the cat unless you want babies running around. I do not let mine outside as she comes and sleeps on my bed sometimes and I do not want her picking up fleas or anything else outside and bringing it in the house. I feel sorry for her at times as I know she is lonely when I am gone, but I saved her life, I treat her well, feed her and play with her. There are three other cats in our compound and their owner lets them roam and they are in the garbages in the area tearing garbage apartment. I have seen one of them almost hit by a car, and another crawling in a garbage den. It is sad. Apparently, their owner does not feed them as mine eats only about two times a day, and I feed her good. She is a devil on wheels and tears thru the house, so I have to keep everything hidden that is breakable or that I do not want torn apart, but she is a joy. And of course she is still a young cat. If your cat is outside that much for sure she will get hit by a car or truck, or if the dogs get loose they will tear her apart if they get her. I wish you luck. It would be especially tragic after you have had her for 7 to 8 years. May God watch over her.

Is there a way that you can make sure the cat is indoors when there is no one to watch her? Cats are very self-reliant. As long as she is litter box trained she should be fine being left alone inside so that she doesn't run off. I would worry too that she may wander off and someone will take her...especially if she is as trusting as you say. As far as her not being afraid of loud dogs....that is strange to me as well. I would maybe take her to the vet and have a physical done for her, but I really don't know what that could be about. Most cats are very afraid of dogs and will either fight a dog if they have to or at least run away or up a tree for protection. Just try to keep her indoors when you can't watch her. Good luck :)

Cats do roam. Unless you can afford to put cat fencing around your yard there is nothing you can do. By that age a cat is pretty knowledgable about avoiding things like being run over or injured by dogs. You can check with a vet about getting a microchip put under her skin-it has all your info on it and if Animal Control picks her up they will scan her and give you a call. Good luck.

Its high time you reel in your kitty. I mean, keep her indoors and only let her out on leash - she' is not too old to train. You are right: since she has a tendency to roam and is the kind of cat that is over-confident, she could get into serious trouble outside. I think she is pushing her luck. You might consider getting her an outdoor enclosure - ths way, she can still enjoy the outdoors from the safety of an enclosure (like my own cats).

i could have her wait an entire week, it fairly is 7 days earlier she gets fairly lively back because of the fact if she tears open this is not going to be sturdy, it will take two times as long to heal, and then she ought to get an infection if she's taking part in and it purely rips from the interior. She would not would desire to be working or bouncing around lots. do not permit her lick the section.

It is okay for your cat to roam around especially at night. That is why they are nocturnal.Your cat can survive from dogs because of their claws and speed. My grandma's cat roams around and it is okay.

You have to keep the cat inside even if it begs to go out. Its very dangerous what your doing.
