Hi, I'm an adult and I agree with you. Teens need a forum to ask questions and express their feelings. Love and dating can be so confusing at your age, even at our age. Ignore the adults who trash you, they're just ignorant.

i'm 19, but i understand what you are saying. I agree mostly to an extent but there are some things i've seen that teens shouldn't even be into- like having sex at your age- i know it happens, i did it, and most of my friends did around age 14-15 and now i'm only a little older, but i can see where adults are coming from too. You are totally right, and most adults don't understand anymore the trials of going to middle school/high school these days- it's a whole lot different from when they were there... but also be cautious- if you ask a question that is about something you know kids are not supposed to be doing or such, you're gonna get those adults telling u to grow up and stuff- just ignore them, but really it's pretty unavoidable! You know yourself and your situation better than anyone, so just give the answers you don't like a thumbs down and then u don't even have to look at em anymore! the bright side? you still get at least SOME valuable useful info. ⥠stay happy and worry less! you've got plenty of time for that ahead of you. (:

First you say "all the teens," which is all well and good. Then you say, "12-15," which introduces twelve-year-olds (who are not teens) and excludes seventeen- through nineteen-year-olds. Make up your mind.
And stop worrying about it. You're (notice the apostrophe) too young. Most of us -- here I mean adults -- have been to middle school, and high school, and so forth, and so on. We recognize them as shallow, artificial environments in no way mirroring the real world or conducive to personal development. Some of us were even smart enough to figure that out when we were kids. Any "relationship" you have around those ages is pretty much doomed to failure, and when you look back on it as an adult, you'll wonder how you could have been so stupid as to invest so much emotional capital into what amounts to a fleeting infatuation.
In short, chill out. You're too young to be worrying so much.

I think as a teen these situations are very important to you now and what the adults are trying to say is that when you are older you will look back on it and wonder why you wasted time on it.
Middle School is a tough time in a persons life especially with relationships. Just remember not too get too caught up, enjoy your time and also remember that it is ok to feel however you feel even if you are young. Young people have feelings too! :) Adults just sometimes forget! :(

I was in middle school once. All the relationships I saw failed miserably, and the people involved weren't particularly studious and seemed to have no ambition whatsoever. This is why I discourage teen dating — there are more important things that you aren't thinking about. (I'm 17.)

I'm 13 and I think you should take there advice. Trust me, WE are too young for that kind of stuff. Yeh, I know. It's tough in middle school, but we gotta hang in there. And besides what's the benefit of having a boyfriend in middle school?

The reason why older people tell you that you are too young (in general I don't mean just you) is because they have usually been through the same stuff and can see past it whereas younger people only see the moment they are in. You should trust in older people and it will make you wiser and you will mature faster.
