now of course, it is recommended that you only lose 1-2 pounds per week, but it all comes down to cutting down on your consumption of calories and bumping up your burning of calories (exercising). I joined sparkpeople.com 3 days ago and have dropped 3 pounds just by implementing a few of the tips they have suggested. I have also drank over 10 cups of water each of these days and highly recommend it. You need to do strength training and cardio, which is all discussed and shown on the website. There is a place to enter all the food/drink you consume and lets you see what you're really putting into your body. Anyway, in the end it's calories in vs calories out, but you should make lifestyle changes if you want to lose weight - check out the sight - it's for every area of life and it's great

I applaud you on wanting to become leaner and healthier. But, try this for when the weather is in the teens. Exercise is a natural process that our bodies use to eliminate excess fat. People gain excess weight by either overeating or lack of sufficient exercise. So, on those days, stop and grab your coat and your keys and leave the house. Hurry to do this, but once outside take a leisurely stroll around your block. Then go back home and DON'T SIT DOWN, but do some house cleaning. Continue doing this 1 block jaunt for 1 week. Next week walk 2 blocks at the same leisure pace and go back home and clean some more. By now you should be more intuned to yourself and feeling like you can take on the world. Well, don't. We don't want you to get discouraged and stop walking. Your body will be fine tuning itself as you walk so you may not see immediate results. For your third week take in a block further and go home and do some more cleaning. Do the same for the fourth week as well. Now, here you are at the second month. You should be feeling more energetic. Are you? OK, then let's begin. This time when you go for your walk you will increase it by 2 blocks each week. If you feel pain or are short-winded then stop and go back to your last comfort zone of walking. This is only your body's way of saying that it is not ready for that step so fast. It is not telling you that you can't or never will do it, but just not then. Now go out and buy yourself some good raingear for the days when it is raining cats and dogs. Boots included and cover your nose and mouth as well. Don't let the inclement in the weather get in the way of you having good health. Now that you are walking further you need to go home and start organizing the cabinets and drawers. You are probably one of those people who still watch too much television. If you can't get up the nerve to throw it (idiot box) out, then watch it standing up as you go around and clean house. Oh, and another thing, while you are losing weight your clothes will start to bag and sag. Get rid of them! After all of your hard work you want to flaunt your success. Go out and buy new underwear and outerwear clothing. Don't forget that your feet will have lost weight too, so buy new shoes. Don't overwhelm yourself, though. Buy a piece at a time as you loose weight and get rid of your fat clothes. DO NOT STOP once you are at your ideal weight. Now you have to maintain it, for a lifetime. And always be aware of your surroundings. I can see you now. YOU'RE LOOKING GOOD!

2 hrs of exercise everyday might be extreme. first you should drink lots of water everyday. at least 8 glasses of water. water helps get rid of the excess fat. 2nd you should eat constantly, especially small portion of food or snacks, this way it keeps your metabolism running. you should not eat too large of a meal anytime. for example, 3 meals a day, you should break those 3 meals into 9 portions. you should eat lots of fruits and vegetable everyday, thats also the key. avoid fatty or high calories like snacks, like chips, chocolate, soda. again drink lots of water. the next step is to exercise about 30-45mins a day. not too much. do lots of cardio exercises. like running. ohh yea, you should exercise in the early morning this way it help you lose fat, since in the evening your metabolism slows down. good luck. start slow with your exercise. i know you wish to lose 3lbs like tomrrow. i've been there. good luck

Who wouldn't want to lose weight that fast but it is proven that losing more than about 1lb. per week is not as likely to last. As someone who has done just about every diet and lost weight and gained it multiple times I can tell you, the best way to lose weight and keep it off is to eat lots of vegetables, low fat, low carb and 20-40 minutes of exercises to raise your heart rate at least three times a week. It may not come off as fast but it will come off and stay off.

There is a diet that allows one to lose weight. However it's not recommanded that one stays on the diet for prolong periods of time. My understanding of it was the diet was created for huge people who needed surgery to make them drop the weight so they could be operated on. The diet is called the Cleveland Clinic diet. A person is on it for 3 days then off it for 4 days then back on it for three etc.
This diet must be followed EXACTLY. You should loose 3-5 lbs the first 10 days.
FIRST DAY
Breakfast:
Black Coffee or Tea
1/2 Grapefruit
1 slice toast
2 tbs. peanut butter
Lunch:
1/2 cup of tuna (no mayo)
1 slice toast
Cofee or Tea
Dinner:
2 slices of any meat
1 cup of string beans
1 cup of beets
1 apple
1 cup of vanilla ice cream
---------------------------
SECOND DAY
Breakfast:
1 egg
1/2 banana
1 slice of toast
Black Coffee or Tea
Lunch:
1 cup cottage cheese
5 saltines
Dinner:
2 hotdogs
1 cup broccoli
1/2 cup of carrots
1/2 banana (the other half from breakfast)
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
------------------------------------------
THIRD DAY
Breakfast:
5 saltines
1 slice cheddar cheese
1 apple
Black Coffee or Tea
Lunch:
1 hard boiled egg
1 slice toast
Dinner:
1 cup of tuna
1 cup beets
1 cup cauliflower
1/2 cantaloupe
1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
-------------------------
In 3 days you will loose 3 lbs. (most do)
After 3 days of dieting you can eat normal food, but don't overdo it. After 4 days of normal eating start back on your 3 day diet. You can loose up to 30 lbs in 40 days - if you stick with it. Worked for alot of people I know GOOD LUCK!!!
Adding exercise to it would be great.

it takes 3500 caloires too burn 1kg of fat there is a website, www.caloriesperhour.com and has a whole stack or activies/exercies and how many calories they burn per a given time limit you can use that to work out which exercises and how long to but the most amount of calories in your gym session or given activity. that with a healthy diet shoud do but dont restrict ur calories too much or ur body will begin to store fat instead, not good.
good luck

In order to loose weight you MUST burn more calories than you consume...you must reach and maintain your target heartrate for 45 minutes....it is that simple.....maybe you should consult a nutritionist..relatively inexpensive and more healthy than trying a crash diet...drink a lot of water to flush your system and keep your body running at its peak potential.....alo know that muscle burns more calories than fat..even while resting...fat tends to store more fat and muscle will burn calories instead of storing them..so you might want to add some strength training to your cardio routine..hope this helps! God Bless!
