Be very careful about this, as people generally do not understand metabolism. It is assumed that people who are slim but eat a lot stay slim because they have a higher metabolic rate. Actually, a fat person who eats a lot will have a much higher metabolic rate because they have a lot more fat to deal with.
So ... burgers, fries, ice cream, etc. will all raise your metabolism ... and make you fatter!

The less you eat the slower your metabolism, as your body goes into famine mode. So one of the best things you can do is eat regularly. Eat foods with very few calories such as fruit, veg etc. Celery is great as it actually takes more calories to digest than it contains !!!

You can't really raise it with foods, only with exercise. Unfortunately the vast majority of people keen to loose weight are just as keen to do it without getting off the couch. This is the major reason they fail. Basically though we are what we eat, we are even more so what we don't do!

Ephedrine/ephedra is harmful but it works. Raising metabolism is cannot be achieved naturally, it's something you are born with.
