Hm... As long as there's no sex involved there shouldn't be any legal problem... And are you HER substitute teacher? That can be consider fraternization, and that would not be ethical. So if you are, just wait until you are not, so your professionalism is not questioned... Be PATIENT...

It's perfectly fine for you to like a 17 year old. I was 17 when I first started dating my boyfriend, and he's 21. I'm 18 now. The only thing people can say is that she's still a minor and you're not. But that doesn't even matter because you have no sexual intentions. Ask her out! You don't want her to go out with another guy, so you? What do you have to lose?

When we have a crush on somebody and we never made any move, that bothers us until we have a new crush or something.
It's like an unsettled heart matter. I'm surprised how you can have a crush on this girl for such a long time without making any move.
I'd suggest you get to know her. Maybe you have an idealized image of her since you've been painting a picture of her for the past 2 years. YOu don't really know her yet and the more you think about her, you are just idealizing who she is. THinking she is the one, that she is like this or like that.
Be a friend, get to know her... until you really get to know her. She's just an ideal girl you made up in your mind.

As a male teacher for 6 years, I can tell you for a fact that if you are one of those men that can not separate the sex's and do your job as a teacher then get into another profession. You can not teach and have crushes, it is that simple and I do not care how noble your intentions are or how young you are or what church you go to. If you did not substitute teach it might be a little different but just by saying you teach means a completely different story.

Hey well i think that the age difference is absolutely no big deal. I'm 19 and a virgin female dating a male who is 30 years old. When you just know that connection is there you go for it! You never know when it come around again. Talk to her, find out if she's interested. Good luck.

My boyfriend is 22 and I am 19. We have been going out for more than 3 years. And we love each other to death. He asked me out when I was 15 and he was 18. So there you go, give it a try. It doesn't sound ridiculous at all.

There is nothing wrong in having a crush on a 17 year old girl. It's perfectly healthy and widely accepted.
You sound guilty about this situation. Don't be.. Go ahead.. Enjoy life. Make her a part of your life... not your lust... Do things together and have a healthy relationship.

ok so its not that big of an age difference.
shes gonna turn 18 soon right?
so either wait till shes 18 and its legal,
or make a move now and keep it no touchie touchie.
are you sure she still likes you though?
cause you said she had a crush on you when you guys were a little younger, she liked you.
first, double check she likes you.
then do whatever you think is right.
good luck!

Dude, there is nothing wrong with that. Besides, you're only like 2 or 3 years apart. But be careful, shes not 18, therefore not legal.
