The RB 51's are a nice bookshelf speaker with good sensitivity. Klipsch uses a horn loaded tweeter which makes the speakers more effecient. What this means is that your amp doesn't have to work hard to get a signal to the speaker. At the same time, those speakers do not reproduce bass very effeciently. You will have to crank the receiver to do that, but as they are a bookshelf with a passive/non-powered woofer, they won't do a loud bass anyway. To get the best sound out of that setup make sure you use a decent speaker cable. Klipsch use to, and I don't remember if they still do, use Monster cable internally. Make sure if it's older cable to recut the cable down an inch or so before hooking it up. This helps signal quality because of the oxidation of electric current, copper, and open air. All in all, you don't have to worry about distortion and the speakers should sound great in that small of a room, enjoy.

The Kipsch is a high sensitivity speaker, which means it doesn't need a lot of power to get good volume. Most of the time you will be running those speakers at about 1-2 watts even at loud levels. Your TEAC amp should do just fine.

Technically talking you are able to placed a 1200W amp on a 150W speaker... the placement ends up in attempting to play this kind of setup at extreme volume. Doing so ought to honestly blow the speaker.

Hi,grindkin. It is always better to use a amp with a higher power rating than the speakers as long as you are carefull with the volume control .most speakers can handel a higher input for a very short time without distorting and the amplifier is not working flat out and is not likely to clip.

It should work fine. Klipsch is a very bass heavy speaker so they like a lot of power. Dont overload the amp with bass and it should be fine.

The TEAC brothers (Ted, Ed, Allen and Charlie) make pretty good stuff, so it should sound good.
