It seems whenever I close my eyes to go to bed, my hearing sharpens and the darkness of my room makes my imagination work. Is this normal? And why does it happen? Or is my imagination going again?

Don't worry. It's normal. You shut down most of your body leaving your sense of hearing and smell, as well as your thoughts, to magnify. Also, the air thins at night allowing sound waves to travel easier. Plus, the world around you is going to sleep and the energy changes. I find that "space" to be my most creative.

It's 'normal'. Everyone is different. Generally, your hearing does get better because there is less focus on the other ones such as taste, maybe smell and sight. It is also quiet and you are by yourself so it lets your mind go wild hehe. When you're in the dark, you have nothing to look at, you probably have an active imagination already but it works best in the dark because there are much less distractions.

You are a very talented person and quite possibly a Hyper-sensitive (which means you are in the special 8%). Please read PRIMER by Edgar Cayce. By all means don't try this at home---I once took a sleeping pill after I consumed 2 1/2 bottles of Jack Daniels and a case 1/2 of beer---talk about seeing through your eye lids when you think that you are sleeping---man!!!

It happens, your mind has time to rest and as aresult becomes more aware of your surroundings.
