He barely calls me, he barely txt's me, he wants to come down for a weekend to get to know me better, he keeps telling me to be careful about who I talk to on the net, he sticks up for me when no one else will, he lives in the U.S and I live in Canada I know its expensive to call Canada if you live in the U.S. Are these signs he is a stalker?

Hmm I dont get how he is a stalker if he barely contacts you. My advice though is dont give him your address and dont let him come to visit or else he might become a stalker.

Come on you should know by now that all the good men live in Canada why talk to someone in the States considering how many of them cheat on there GF's and spouses.

He may be anything. He may be married ..... a stalker ... an abuser. I would get all his info first ..... where he lives ... you should be able to call him on his home phone .. You should be able to talk to his mother ..... brother .... get to meet others. Do a background check .... he should be receptive to that.
Be safe ...... only do things in groups and keep your family, friends around until you get to meet his side .....
