I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

The body can't burn more than 2lbs of fat per week. Your mom lost mainly water and probably some muscle. You want to keep muscle because it increases your metabolism.
There is no reason for you to lose the weight super fast, and it will very likely be deterimental to your goal.
Just eat a balanced diet. Don't over eat, don't under eat, and don't starve yourself. Only eat when you are hungry and avoid high fat foods. Women of your height generally need between 1500 and 2000 calories a day to maintain their current body weight, with most needing less than 2000.
If you add in walking an hour a day to a balanced diet you will most likely lose weight, or at least increase your metabolism.

Oh hun, I don't think people should be on diets anyways for that reason, celebrities. I used to be so obsessed over the numbers on the scale, it took over my life when I was a teenager, but now that I don't own a scale and eat around 4-5 small meals a day I can keep off hunger and the weight. Drink lots of water too, that really helps. Eat breakfast for sure, eggs and toast, something healthy and easy, like oatmeal! That will help boost your energy and metabolism for the day, then eat a healthy snack between breakfast and lunch, and do the same between lunch and dinner. Then you won't be to hungry and binge eat. Good luck! And remember you are a growing teen, you can't afford to starve your body when you are growing, and a number is just a number. Walk a few times a week for excercise.

That diet is probably not right for you. I would start by stepping away from the computer chair and going roller skating. Also, if you drink a large glass of water before every meal, you'll eat less, and feel better. Avoid carbs after about 5 pm, because they will turn into fat while you sleep, but use them during the day for energy to excercise. Eat more fruits and veggies than meats, and cut back on white sugar.

omg are you a girl?
thats pretty damn heavy
im a boy, around 5'9" and i weigh 128
but i wouldn't do that
it's unhealthy for you
and yes it's probably because your a growing teen that you felt sick because you weren't getting enough of the right nutrients your body needs for growth
adults don't grow....
but the only safe and healthy way to lose weight is to eat right and exercise.
and you feel good after exercising too
i used to just eat crap like candy and soda
i felt terrible
then i stopped mostly and i feel a lot better now
it will be a lot easier to run cross country now
i wouldn't try losing 8 pounds fast even if it's for wrestling or anything
make sure you consume enough sugar before you exercise
i don't mean like candy bars though because i believe thats just corn syrup which is broken down corn starch
you need glucose

Do yoga, aerobic (you can just by the DVDs instead of going to classes) and swimming. Do not drink other than plain water. Eat less sugary food and carbohydrate. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. They make you full but it doesn't make you fat. Don't jog too much cause a lot of people do jogging when they want to lose weight. Stop eating 6 hours before you go to sleep. Do sit-ups before you go to sleep and after you wake up.
It doesn't mean that you can not eat fatty stuffs. Just dont eat it too much. and last but not least, no junk food!
goodluck :)

The problem with quick weight loss diets is that you put it right back on, just as quickly as you lost it. Better to get a good exercise program going and just cut down on the bad foods(fats, sugars, starches) &eat smaller portions. It will help loose weight gradually & make it easier to keep it off. Being more active really burns the calories.
