Does it help? Are there any other things that help stop and prevent acne, such as the things i eat or some kind of daily routine?

Even if reducing your soda intake does not affect your acne problem it will improve your health because the carbonation isn't really good for you. Plus the sugar content can't be good, but often food is not the biggest problem causing acne anyway. Drinking more water couldn't hurt your complexion or your health unless for some rare medical reason you're allergic or unable to drink regular water. And of course, stressing over your problem sometimes causes more of a problem than not worrying about it. And I'm sorry I didn't notice your name but girls seem to have more hormonally recurring acne for reasons I need not mention. tho usually that evens out with age as long as you can find something that works and consistently keep using gentle scrubs, face& body bars and/or face creams that help eliminate the oils from your face or elsewhere where the acne appears. The only thing that really prevents acne is a clean face. If you are in school, consider getting some face wash pads to take along with you. The classic Oxy pads or Noxema, or the newer cleansing cloths that need water or ready to use any product will probably remove some makeup too if you are wearing any, but after exercise or being outside for a time it's more noticable that the clean skin you left the house with starts looking oily right?? You only need a few minutes to refresh your face and using the medicated or facial cleaners will keep fighting the bacteria that are using your body oils against you-- causing problem skin. If it is really getting you down, there are things your doctor can do for you. Or see a dermatologist, someone who specialized in treating acne and skin problems.

Cutting back on sugary foods and sodas can be very beneficial to your overall health, but these foods do not affect your skin health. Acne and breakouts are caused by clogged pores and an irritated dermis. These things are controlled by the sebaceous glands in your skin, that are triggered and fired by the pituitary gland in your brain. Foods and beverages cannot alter this function.

I would suggest practicing good skin maintenance by implementing a routine and sticking to it. Make sure that you wash your skin often, moisturize, tone, and exfoliate.

Everyone is different, what may work for you may not work for someone else. When i was in my teens i noticed cutting on sodas and junk foods and eating fruits and veggies helped a lot. Also don't use any harsh products on your face, my skin was the best when i was just using Clearasil. But since everyone is different you may need to experiment.
