I believe in Jesus, but I've done some pretty bad things so I'm still afraid I might not make it to Heaven

Salvation is wonderful.
Just make sure you've been baptized with water, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Don't take God for granted, either. "Once saved, always saved." is utter nonsense.
Salvation is a life-long process, not a one time event ... and no one is truly saved until Jesus judges them to be.
It also helps to be Catholic, as the Catholic Church alone possesses all God's truth, and all God's provision, for the purpose of saving his people.
Jesus personally set it up that way.

I am not a Christian, but happy that you have recognised the need for a spiritual life.
Just remember though, it is not a one-off event - you need to take DAILY responsibility for each and every one of your actions. Being "saved" does not hand over all responsibility to anyone else - which is the mistake most Christians make. If you really believe in the Christian God, you will know that you aren't actually forgiven for your sins until after you die. Being "saved" does not give you the right to look down on the rest of us - another mistake most Christians make.
Go well

Whoever perseveres to the end will be saved. (That is a Bible verse; see if you can find it) Hint: Paul said it.
I will know I'm saved when I finally make it there. Take nothing for granted.

Not only me but every body is saved every time when they are in peril. God is the loving mother and father who takes care of his siblings when they are in danger. Call Him or simply rely upon Him. It is He who takes care of all. Haven't you seen that the kitten are carried away from danger by the mother cat every time. When the cat itself is having so much of love towards the kitten, why not God, who has created the cosmos and living beings? It is His sole responsibility to carry you out of danger every time. nagarajan.

I do not believe in being "saved." It is my belief that I am not in danger.

YES, I have been saved... from the BS that is organized religion and, specifically, Christianity. I have been saved a life of grovelling for acceptance by the religious community.
I have been saved by using my ability to think for myself and do what's right without a biblical guidebook and threats of burning in hades.
Thanks for asking!
