I think i have very low self esteem or something. Because.. i think i don't look good or i'm not pretty, and then a hot guy whistles at me or yells "hey, hottie" and last night this car of seven 20 year olds were honking at me.. and screaming random pick-up lines out of their car... then i kinda wonder if it's just me... my really good friends tell me everyday how beautiful i am. (i'm not conceited, i'm just telling you how it is.) But i don't think i can even compare to the girls that these guys at my high school like. Also, guys don't really think of me as more than just what i look like. I'm sick and tired of it!! My good friend told me that, that's what guys think of me.. and he is a guy!! it hurt alot.
is this a self esteem problem?? if so.. how do i fix this??

Sounds like a little bit of a self esteem issue, and it may be why guys only think of you as being beautiful. I know a girl who is ot even close to the most beautiful person, by physical standards, but she has dated more men then any single person I know (who doesn't sleep around anyway), she is never wanting for a date because she has personality and she is very flirtacious, she is totally happy with who she is and because of it, guys want to be with her. She is my fiances best friend in the world and at first I was totally jealous, but then I got to know her and I relized that being around her makes me feel better about myself too. I think what you really need is a little more self esteem. You are beautiful, you are smart, what are your passions? what are you good at? what is that one thing that you are better at then anyone you know? Whatever it is get out there and do it and try to make yourself as well known for it as you are for your beauty. All the guys I know say that a woman has to have the full picture, beautiful and talented. Of course I'm a bit older and I don't associate myself with many men under 30.
Find something you are good at, that makes you feel good about yourself, then worry about what other people think of you, because chances are that if you think higher of yourself and you appear to other people smart and pretty. People won't just be says "what a hottie" they will be saying the things you want to hear, the things that matter.
If it makes you feel any better in Highschool, most guys just don't care how smart you are anyway they aren't really paying that much attention. it's the ones who are that you want to notice you.
take care of yourself and how you feel about you and all things will fall into place.

try and build your coinfidence again i dont think anybody is ugly is just finding the rite guy we all diffrent so what u might want is not what i want that doesnt mean the person is ugly and try to be flirtatious it will work for and would like to get a feedback too this is the most touching stuff i read today
