Most of your answers have been correct. You can reduce this problem, by giving her attention when you call her, rather than going to her..make her come to you when you call..Don't talk to her in baby talk high voice, but use a calm manner of speech..
She can't help it at all, and she should soon outgrow it...

Since it’s not actually something a puppy can control at all, it’s pointless to scold her. That will only confuse her. She’ll simply outgrow the behavior, but there’s no telling when that will be. Some dogs stop doing it when they are very young, others do it until age 2 or 3.
As someone already suggested, doing everything in your power to keep her from getting TOO excited when you greet her is the best way to control it. It will not always work. If you don’t want the pee on YOU, it would be best not to pick her up until her excitement has diminished a bit, and while you hold her, don’t do anything to make her excited again.

I have a 2 yr old, female yellow lab. When she was a puppy, she would play in our livingroom, and get very excited. She'd quickly stop and piddle away on the carpet. She'd do this pretty often, only during play time. I guess all that excitement would make her feel pissy. I think your puppy must be overly excited to be in your lap. She might be a bit submissive too. She will grow out of it. Whenever she pees on you, put her quickly down on the floor and tell her in a strict voice, "No, Wrong, Bad Girl." Do this everytime she pees on you. She will know that this is not acceptable. All the best with your puppy, and enjoy your moments with her, before she grows up.
Well saying no in a strict voice, does not mean scolding her. When my dog was a puppy and would pee indoors, I would tell her "No, Wrong", and quickly take her out. That way they will know what is right and wrong.

its becuase she loves you....she is so excited to see you. i would try the following...if you come into the room where the pup is...ignore her for abit, don't pick her up right away. let her tire out her exitment...resist the waggy tail and the cute little eyes, its hard i know. but wait, dont pick her up yet or pay attention to her. once you see she has calm down a bit kneel down and offer the underside of your hand, let her sniff, lick...nibble. then pet her and bring her close to you. This seams like way to much but it work. She wont be as excited and losse control over her body functions. I had a dog that did the same thing, but with number 2. I would pick her up she was all exited and then i would get a little turd onmy chest. This exercise helped me, it took a couple of weeks but it worked.
Oh - and dont be mad at her. she is just a puppy and remember she loves you and is all excited to see you and cant help it but feel love for you... ;)

Are you sure she isn't scared? I have an AUS cattle dog who is very timid and we haven't figured out why. We've never hurt him or yelled at him but he is very submissive and can pee when overly excited or stressed. He's gotten alot better (he's 5 months now) but he still acts "unsure" of us sometimes even if he's wanting attention. Be patient. If there is no negative reaction to the behavior they wont associate peeing with being naughty. Hopefully she'll grow out of it but you could try giving her a treat everytime she gets picked up/comes over to you so that way she'll associate you with treats.
Best wishes. :-)

It's because she's very excited, and it's also a submissive behavior to piddle a little when someone above you in the pack gives you attention. Most dogs will outgrow this. It also does not mean she isn't housebroken, it's a separate behavior.

Usually puppies do that because of overexcitement or overstimuli. Maybe if you approach her in a more calming and soothing voice it will help?
