Because your yard is infested and ticks get on animals and will get on you as well if you don't do something about them. You need to get your dog professionally dipped and groomed to get rid of them before they make him/her very sick. Also spray your yard and keep doing it until they are gone. Ticks can make you very, very sick. They can carry Lyme's Disease. Go to WebMD and look it up and see for yourself.
