I-185 takes you right through the main gate. Your probably looking for Sand Hill. So once you hit the main PX take a left and follow the signs. Thats if hes in Basic Training or AIT.
If hes in Airborne school or RIP, Take a right and head toward main post. Follow the big red 250ft towers.
If in doubt ask one of the guards when you stop at the gate.

It depends on how his base is set up and what they do for that day. Some bases will make it an "open" base for the day, so anyone can enter and leave whenever they want without having to stop and get a pass.
If that's not the case, here's what you need to have on hand:
Photo ID's of anyone who will be in the vehicle with you.
Whomever the driver of the vehicle is, they'll need their driver's license.
The vehicle's CURRENT registration and CURRENT proof of insurance card.
Also, knowing what unit your boyfriend is in wouldn't hurt, plus having a way to contact him in case there's any problems.
One last thing...you'll be entering government property. By doing so, you are giving them permission to search your vehicle at any time. Make sure you do not have any weapons or drugs in your vehicle or you could get arrested for them.
Your boyfriend should find out from his instructor the proper channels you'll need to go through to gain access to the base for that day, but that info is what most bases use day to day.

His unit should send you a pass. Since Fort Benning is home to so many training units (BCT, ITB, Ranger, Airborne, Pathfinder, Drill SGT School, etc.) they've come across this issue many times before, and they have a system set up to deal with it.

regrettably the most inexpensive bus fare from Naples to Columbus GA is about $250. upload in accommodations and food and also you're likely watching about $three hundred minimum. i'd advise you contact the USO or the yank Legion and clarify your situation. My wager is they're going to provide the assistance you want. Lugnut; i'm sorry for stepping on your toe. i replaced into answering, were given distracted, and neglected your post.

Have an official state i.d. I.E. drivers license. If you do not have a post decal then, you will get a visitors pass after your car has been searched.

If you know somebody there, they need to pick you up by the gate. This is how it's works overseas.
