My child sleeps with me and is just over 2 years old. The night time feedings are getting old. I am tired from the interrupted sleep. Is there anything I can do besides letting her cry it out?

Oh mama! I am right there with you. it isn't so much the nursing, as the twiddling, the acrobatics and the need to have that nipple in there ALL NIGHT!
We are in the process of rearranging our whole house so my 25 month-old can have his own room. I have no problem with the family bed, but i am in pain too! I actually sleep on the couch and, when I'm not in the bed, but my husband is, the babe sleeps 6-8 hours. Perhaps your husband (if he's around) could be the nighttime comforter for a few days?

I agree with Hypermama.

I have been there before too and wish you peaceful nights soon. The No Cry Sleep Solution is a great book.

One of the best things I said to my little one that worked a treat was letting her know that my breasts needed their sleep too and that she could have some more breastmilk when the sun was shining and the birds were singing. At 18 months of age she was able to understand and did not put up too much of a struggle.

you can wean him off. First, just get up and hug him and sing to him and give him a back rub.. anything but feed him... then work your way to just a hug and a song. Then a song with no touch... until all you have to do is say 'I'm here, now go to sleep'. I live in an apartment and that is what I will have to do or I will have some mad neighbors, lol.

try giving your child a dummie. or instead of milk if that is what you give ur child try water instead and eventually she will get sick of it herslf and just stay asleep. good luck.
