I hooked up with this guy for about 3 months. He and I were both coming out of another relationship. In turn, he ended of slowly removing himself from me. I found out that his ex came back into the picture.

3 years later, he finds me on myspace. We talk, he comes by my apt. to visit, brought a bottle of wine the 1st time, took me out to dinner, drove me around his town, called me, text me, e-mailed me daily. He went as far to tell me that he really liked me and wanted to see where things were going to go.

I made it crystal clear that I did not want to have an immediate sexual relationship b/c I wanted to see what he was all about after 3yrs. He and I both work f/t and recently he took on a p/t job, 3 nights a week. After he took on this 2nd job, I didn't see much of him.

Even though he was too busy to see me, he was able to do other things on the weekend. I finally told him that I admire his ambition but can't pretend that I'm ok w/ never seeing him. Did I do the right thing

Absolutely!
But the real question is "is it OK with you?"
You need to set boundries for yourself and you did.
You really have no idea if he is sincere or not, and you do not want to be a "convenience" for him.
Good for you!
Be nice, be a lady, but BE firm!
Good luck and stay strong.

You have to do what's right for you. Would it be possible to be friends with him or would seeing him even on the weekends make you want more? If that's the case, you did the right thing.

Yes. You absolutely did the right thing. If he's truly interested in you, he'll make time to see you. :)

seems fine with my. although it sucks to be him but there is no use in letting yourself not have the relationship you want to have. There are plenty of fish in the sea. you gotta throw some of them back sometimes.

I hate to tell you this, but it sounds like he's just not that into you. You did the right thing.
