my co-worker and i are trying to figure out what the phrase "bad mamma jamma" means. i don't mean to offend anyone,but we've heard it several times on different movies/songs and what to know. (also need to know so that if it is politically incorrect we don't offend anyone)

The phrase came into popularity as the title of a song recorded by Carl Carlton. In the song he was referring to a woman that he thought was "hot". It was intended as a compliment, but if you use the phrase now, it might be considered archaic.

generally it refers to a person who you don't play with. the will either bust you ***, razor you face or put a dozen caps in your ***. that is a bad mamma jamma. pretty serious dude, those bad m.j.'s. on the other hand, to some it just means attractive woman. another silly idiom of the deteriorating american version of English.e

It's not politically correct but not usually used to mean anything negative and normally refers to a woman who is both sexy/hot and don't-mess-with-her tough.
