I was on grab.com playing a game when this girl but's in on my conversation. I wouldn't have mind much about it if she had something nice to say but she was saying inapropriate things.
So I said " shutup you lil nasty" and she got all mad and started to say other things so I told her to just leave the chat room because no one wants to hear the nasty stuff she has to say. Then this other girl said I was mean because what I said to the inapropriate girl. I said no im not im just truthful and you shouldn't be saying im mean because that's mean to tell me im mean. So am I mean? or am I truthful?

You are not mean, you are just dealing with incompetent people in a chat room who can't carry on an intelligent conversation,so they opt for inappropriate things to say to get attention. You probably intimidated both of those girls(because they knew you could carry on an intelligent conversation) and that has nothing to do with being mean or truthful it has to do with how this incident made you feel.(I don't think your mean,I think your right though and that is truthful.

Sometimes being truthful, can come out as being mean. But there are many times you have to be truthful, no matter what people think, I think she had no business butting in on your conversation. So yes I feel you did the right thing.

Both I suppose! Obviously she was rude but you followed suit because you felt you were right. You were right until you followed suit by being rude yourself . A difficult lesson (but classy once you learn to exercise it. Particularly if its articulated well) is how to counter rudeness with the truth without being rude yourself. You can tell the truth without being rude. Sometimes its nice to do it in such a way as to make that very person laugh and get along.

Both. Telling the truth does not have to be unpleasant or hurtful - you could use a little tact. Yes, what you said was truthful. And yes, the way it was said was mean.

No you're not mean. The first girl was mean. As for the second girl, she just didn't know what really went on. She didn't know that it bugged you about the inappropriate content the other girl was saying. So tell her what really happened. YOU ARE NOT THE BAD GIRL IN THIS CASE, SISTAH!

In dealing with people in an open forum, we must temper the truth with understanding.
Yes, you were being truthful, but you need to soften the truth in a gentle way.
