There's this person whom i went to highschool with, i don't like her, but she keeps trying to add me as a "friend" on facebook. I've denied her at least 4 times...and she keeps asking to be my friend. Should i just get it over with and accept her as a "friend"....so she stops sending me these requests?

If it's going to bother you more to be in contact with her, then don't accept. Its' better not to open up a friendship with someone and deal with a few attempts of friendshp than to open up only to shut it in their face with both of you feeling bad later.

If you don't like her then if you add her you'll only open yourself up to much more communication, email and whatnot! Block her if you can, I don't know facebook but almost all of these communities have a block feature, either you can block a specific person or if you're not on that community at all you can often block all invites from them.

No. Didn't you say you did not wish to have her as a friend? Why would you do the very thing you have decided against? The way to deal with a problem is not to "cave in". This is the time to learn some assertive skills and to practice using them. Call her, or write her and ask her to please stop asking as you do not wish at this time to enlarge your facebook friends list. If you should change your mind, you will be in touch.

lol, it's tempting isn't it?
but no, i wouldn't do that.
instead of denying her, is there a way to just close the box out without making a choice?
a delicate white lie such as "i'm not getting your requests" would save her feelings and let you off the hook.
that's what etiquette is all about after all.

i might say consider it, if she really trying that hard to be ur friend, try to know her better, if she doesn't even care that she has been denied, she may like u, give her a chance, may be if u get to know her better, u might like her

No, don't add her. She cannot even take more than a direct hint then that is bad news.

block her.
that's what I had to do.
If you don't want to talk to her, don't.
Block her, and be done.
It may seem harsh, but it needs to be done.
