I am seeing this guy... he's really great. We haven't had a DTR yet, but things are heading in a generally great direction. He is buying me dinners, lunches, and just recently, an hour long massage!!! We have been seeing each for about 2 1/2 months. My friend thinks I should cook him dinner, but honestly, I am not that great of a cook. He won't let me pay for ANYTHING! He drives me everywhere too. He is taking me to the opera next week! Is there something I can do to show my appreciation? I am having a great time with him, and we send each other emails and texts. But he does most of the calling, and initiating. I feel that maybe I should do something in return...is there anything that I can do besides cook him food? Or is that the only option at this point???

you can tell him how good of chaperone he is. LOL! I'm kidding, unless u really want 2 tell him that. Ne way, u can take him everywhere in ur car, u can start the convo's on the phone u can start doing every thing he does in return. so u can show him ur appreciation.

It's very frustrating isn't it ? He's being selfish, not letting you enjoy the act of giving.
Try just making/buying a yummy dessert to go with coffee at the end of an evening together. Make it special....candles, a rose, etc.
Get a beautiful little chest, fill it with momintos of your dates with him....have it somewhere out where he can see it...it will let him know time with him is precious.
Ask him to spend an evening at your place or his, just to hand out.......watch a movie....play cards.....let him know you enjoy just doing noth'n special as long as you are with him.

You should just go with the flow, and get to know this guy a little more to see what things he likes that would be obtainable for you.

write a letter telling him how you feel.
leave him thoughtful little things that arent expensive at his job- his favorite soda, coffee or candy bar.

send him flowers

give him a picture of you in a great frame

buy him tickets to a sporting event that both of you can attend.
