and she says she is napping. I call her around noon on a Sat or so. Usually during the day. She has had a lot of weight loss lately as well. I am just wandering-could she be on something?

Usually if someone is taking a weight loss drug it will make them really hyper and hard to be with. This sounds more like depression. Is she having a hard time right now? Maybe you should ask her if everything is alright...If she's not eating (or has a disorder) her energy levels will get low and she'll be lethargic. If it's some kind of depression, sleep is an escape for her as well as a lack in appetite. You should try and help if possible.

It's obvious that your friend is depressed. You must go to her and initiate a good conversation. Perhaps, she needs someone to vent her feelings with. Constant reassurance that you are there to help her, is a big help to her current condition. Know the root of the problem, it's the only way to solve it. If she's still reluctant to tell you the problem, ask her significant others. Perhaps, they know what's causing her distressed. If she'd share you the prob, be grateful that she trust you enough for it. Give her a hug and tell her that you appreciate her trust towards you. then, pray that in due time she'll be able to surpass her current depression.
