You see, my dog's really smart. Even if I keep him away aluminum foil, he somehow still gets some and eat it. I almost got really hurt because I tried taking the aluminum foil out of his mouth (which I think was a stupid thing to do). I still need more ideas on how to stop his habbit.

first of all keep the foil out of his reach, even if he gets hold of it,reprimand him whenever you see it in his mouth, remove it immediately and leave him alone in a room for a maximum of five minutes ,on the other hand, when he doesnt chew on the foil for a long time say 5 hours reward him by cuddling him and playing with him..he'll stop chewing the foil withen 3-4 days if you continue your reprimand and reward training.hope it helps : )

I had a dog who ate aluminum foil that had been used for barbecuing, and she almost died. She had to go to the Vet for surgery---it can apparently rip the stomach. I would lock up the aluminum foil in a cupboard.

Keep the aluminum foil out of your dog's reach. That includes trash, that might contain the foil or other harmful items.

1st, don't leave items like aluminum foil in reach of him. 2nd, make sure he has toys that he can play with. If you must have foil out and he goes for it, tell him no and give him a toy so he knows what is ok to play with and what isn't it.

How is he getting the aluminum foil in the first place? Just move it to where he cannot reach it or switch to plastic wrap.

Put the trash where she can't get it, and keep aluminum foil in the cupboard out of her reach.

Problem solved.
