God himself, in creating man in his own image, has written upon his heart the desire to see him. Even if this desire is often ignored, God never ceases to draw man to himself because only in God will he find and live the fullness of truth and happiness for which he never stops searching. By nature and by vocation, therefore, man is a religious being, capable of entering into communion with God. This intimate and vital bond with God confers on man his fundamental dignity.

Interesting isn't it that mankind desires for the one person who creates him? Who gave him the very life that makes all these experience possible.
Just like a child who yearns for motherly love when none is given to him.
But when the mother is around, the child has all her attention and nourishments whether physically or spiritually, the child feel almost complete. With God, we will be made complete. I guess this is the reason why man desires for God, his creator.
For it is from our mother that we come from and it is to her we go to for consolation.
For it is from God that we come from and to Him belongs our desires.
When I ponder upon this relationship between mother and child, I could not stop myself from wondering what it must have felt like between Mother Mary and Jesus. What must have their relationship felt like?
And I am forever touched by the notion that this life that God has given is so beautifully and magnificiently created.
To God be the glory, honour and power forever and ever. Amen.

it is the "fill in the blanks" for most people when they have no control over an event or when they do not know what an outcome will be e.g. what happens to me when i die? fill in the blank. I am so broke i will not be able to buy a meal tomorrow. Fill in the blank. I lived like that for a while and then i realized i couldn't delude myself any longer. I had to take control of my life and not pitch it off to some imaginary person

People hate to think they are all alone in the world, and that there is nothing after death. This fear of death and the possibility that evil may win has lead to religion. People also want something they can rely on- whether it seems to exist or not.

I'll have to disagree with you, I don't believe that man of his own ability has any desire to seek out God.

Man wants to be in touch with his creator. When man comes to know the creator, there are many qualities worthy of love and admiration.

It is built into our very nature. Even those who say they do not believe secretly wish that someone could prove them wrong.
