Friskies is completely safe it is what I am recommending to all my customers to switch to while all the pet foods are being recalled. And its also what im feeding my cat. If you know anyone else with cats i suggest you recommend it as well. I work at Petsmart and as a safety measure myself and other groomers are saying to only use friskies and whiskas for the next few weeks or possibly longer.

Friskies canned cat food is not on the list of recalled food. The only pet food that Purina recalled was a dog food. I know becuase I checked before giving my cats Friskies canned food last night and today. I had them on IAMS and Eukenuba and of course, even though the cans that I had are not in the recalled batch, I wanted to play it safe and not five it to them - instead I gave them Friskies.

Both canned and dry Friskies are safe. It's also a high quality product to use. I've used it a lot over the years and had healthily cats that lived to a nice old age.

unfortunately the product code dates 6337 to 7073 are also on the friskies canned cat food, which tells you that it is in the list, just not currently listed. plant code is 1161, but even by upc research and plant codes, it is not clear of actual manufacturer. Menu foods produced over a billion cans of dog/cat food. there are hundreds of animal food plants across the nation.

My vet says NOT to feed any kind of canned foods or wet food in pouches until the situation has been resolved.
