Probably about $200 for the office visit and all the shots he'll need.
So you haven't had the money for the last two years to take your dog to the vet. Bet you had the money for beer, pizza, and video games, didn't you?
Let me guess: He's not neutered, is he?
Some people shouldn't be allowed to own pets. You are a perfect example. Please find a home for your dog with a responsible owner.
I hope you never have kids...

Your vet will probably want to do a basic checkup: listen to the heart and lungs; inspect his eyes, ears and teeth; feel his abdomen for any abnormalities. He may wish to do a fecal exam as well as some blood tests to check for heartworm and other parasites. He will definately update your dog's immunizations such as rabies, DHLP, and bordetella. Your vet may decide to worm your dog as well.
This will cost upwards of $200, most likely, not to mention the licensing fee associated with the rabies vaccination, any medications given during the visit, and any Heartgard you purchase to take home with you.
Banfield Pet Hospitals offer a very good program called the Wellness Plan that is very affordable and includes all of the above. I believe it's about $60 up front, and then $20 a month that is automatically deducted from your checking account or credit card. All of your dog's vaccinations are included in this fee, as well as an annual exam (such as described above), spaying or neutering if required, and all of your office visits are free as well.
It's an excellent option for someone on a budget and you're set for the lifetime of your pet.

The vet will check your dog for heartworms and intestinal worms and give him his shots. Depending on where you live it will cost between $ 90 - $200.
Just get the yellow pages out and call some vets in your area. They will be happy to answer any questions you have. Don't let another year pass...

How much it will cost depends on where you live (cost of living and all). Most vets do yearly checkups that include vaccines, fecal checks for worms, heart worm blood test, and a physical exam. That can cost anywhere from $75 to $200 depending on your location. Call around to local vets and find out their prices so you're prepared before you go.

that is very irresponsible to not take your dog to the vet! If you cannot afford dog, then why did you get one in the first place?? However, it is good that you care enough about his health to take him to the vet! It may cost about 100 to 400 dollars!Maybe less!! GOOD LUCK, sorry to be so harsh in the beginning of my of my answer! I just really care about animals

That's good, it's good to take your dog for a check up now and then. But just remember thier not like us humans, we should be going for every 2 years I think, sooo it's a little more longer for dogs, I think. unless you need to do regular check up's more often cuz of a condition, other than that, your dog should be healthy

My local Petsmart has a wellness clinic twice a month. You can get all the shots/deworming/heartworm prevention/flea control for $59 or so. At least that's what it said on the flyer.

Depends on where you live, but they are going to need to take stool samples, give shots, and check for heart worms. Where I live that would probably be about 200.00 to 300.00. Hope this helps.
