"To be honest", and lists reasons why they can't date you - are they telling the truth, despite signs of attraction? (blushing, staring, smiling, flirting, etc)

To be honest, any time someone lists reasons why they can't date you is a bad sign. I'd listen and find someone who could list why the CAN date me.

Wow. Talk about mixed signals!
What are the reasons they can't date you? Do they seem legitimate? Could be this person is just a natural flirt and they flirt with EVERYBODY.
It has been my experience that the more a person tries to convince you they are telling the truth the more they are lying!
I'd move on to greener pastures.

If someone starts a sentence off with "too be honest" I think they're telling the truth, but it's hard to say for some reason.

They like you as a friend but don't want to hurt you and just are naturally flirty people or you're just taking all the signs wrong.

Some people say that because they want to be honest with you and want something to be changed... and they don't like you after dating or they think that your not good enough for them

if someone gives you reasons why they cant date you, you need to move on..... who cares what reasons.... if they are giving you reasons for why they dont want to then find someone else to be interested in, dont waste anymore of your time with them

not really,, and it depends on there age, also depends why they think they have a attraction,, now mature men and women dont even do this anymore,,, but teenagers do,, so,,maybe , just maybe,,,

sounds like excuses to me-in the military you knew somebody was lying when they start out saying "no sh*t, this really happened"
