I believe it is still in its test phase, and critics say it is ineffective in most aspects... but from my POV i think it is to be aptly labeled as the "fighter of the future".

Max speed with afterburners mach 2.42
Max speed without afterburners mach 1.72
Radar signature: the size of a bumble bee.
The F-22 radar also acts as a radar jammer

Two tests performed:
35 to zero against F-15s

144 kills to zero against F-15, F-16s and F-18s while flying up to 4 opponents to one F-22.

Chances are the loss of F-22s will come from lucky unaimed hits, mechanical failure and pilot error.

The F-22 is already in production.

Those pencil pushers already got their minds made up and their marketing fliers in print so we know the answer to your question. Whether they will be satisfied in actual combat is another matter.
