I've had a killer migraine for about a week now and it won't go away. Along with this, I've been really dizzy, and just a constant pressure on my whole head. I went to the hospital because i thought that I was going to pass out. They did a CAT scan and found nothing. I'm on 3 differnet medications for pain, dizziness, and then a random antibiotic to see if it will help. Any ideas what it could be?

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck.
Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at

Sounds like it could be a very common medical error in diagnosis. You may simply be dehydrated. Check your prescriptions, look them up on line, and consult a pharmacist since some medications can require a large amount of water to process. If you head ache has been going on for the duration indicated and nothing was found to be wrong on the CAT then most likely it is something small which has made it simple to overlook; like dehydration.

So here is what you do. Drink LOTS of water in the next four hours. Oh, I mean LOTS; like about 2-4 gallons. Yea, that's a lot and you will have to urinate what seems like constantly but it will pay off. After drinking the water you will need to go to sleep and when you wake to use the rest room, and you will several time, simply return to sleep immediately. Also DO NOT take anything for your head ache during this time since it could reduce your body's ability to process the water into your system.

This should help since it sounds like you have moderate dehydration.
