Does he know how I feel? Is that why he's acting like this?

Question

Friends with a guy who has a ton of female friends. He goes to the movies with them often, and spends a lot of time on the phone counseling them about their relationship issues.

He often says that he and I are kindred spirits. I asked him once to quantify our relationship - what are we? I asked. He laughed at how ridiculous I am and said, "You're my long-lost uncle. It's like we found each other after a lot of time."

I'd be a liar if I said I wasn't crazy about him.

My question is, if he never asks me to hang out at the movies with him alone, and if, for example, we don't discuss relationships with one another, should I assume it's because he has feelings (that I'm not just one of his girl FRIENDS), or is it that we're just not that close?

I know this is hard to answer. I guess I wonder - is he pushing me away / keeping me at a distance, or is this emotion I'm feeling completely one-sided?

Any insight would help - I don't feel I'm ready to talk to him about it just yet.

He's just not that into you romantically. Besides, you're too available to him- there's no thrill for him. Disappear for a while and see if he chases you.

At first i thought he was being a smart azz with that reponse. Is he a comedian or something, cuz he just blew you off. Make him get serious aboutthe question about what your relationship is with him. I he still acts a darn fool, cut your losses. He obviously thinks its a joke and you dont deserve an answer. And leave room for the notion that he MIGHT be gay!

I don't think he knows yet where you fit into his life. Don't sit around waiting too long to find out especially if you have feelings for him. Tell him straight up how you feel, what you would like to see happen and see how he reacts to that.
