Hi,
I too had the same thing happen. And it still happens when I am not taking care of myself.

I am in the beauty Field and I can not have bad skin. I know what causes mine. You need to find what is triggering your breakouts. Sometimes you can not prevent it. Our hormones can go a little crazy in our early 20's. But fix the things you can control.
1.Sleep are you getting as much as your body needs?
2.Diet are you eating well or are you just eating what is fast (food)
3.Believe it or not dairy intake can make things worse too So minimize your intake.
4.Speaking of intake... Are you drinking as much water as possible or are you a soda drinker? I know that helped my skin soooo much.
5.Facial products are you using the wrong ones? Sometimes the products we use can dry our faces out so much that our oil glands go into overdrive to make up what we are taking away. Then that is just a big mess!
6. Some make up can really clog pores. Look at what you are putting on your face.
7.Always wash your face 2x 's
The first time to remove dirt oil and make up
The second time to cleanse the skin.
8. Remember to change your pillow case frequently.
9. keep your hands off your face. we have so many oils on our hands and not to mention bacteria that we come into contact with everyday.

This is just from my own experience and all the women I see everyday.

1st, the most you should ever wash ur face is twice a day, morning and night. because then if you over do it, you are washing away good oils that you need. I do not have acne but my younger brother did, Proactive worked for him like a miricale, the only thing you need to remember, there is no cure for acne! There are only treatments! But it defenitly worked for him, you just have to be committed to doing it daily, although its not hard at all. If you just have a couple of blemishes here and there, you can take some asprin pills, crush them up with some water and make a paste, put it on ur pimple over night and its the same thing as those expensive overnight blemish products! I keep my face clear with Dove face wash that has cucumber and green tea, leaves my skin so clean and not greasy!

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

If you just started go to a dermetoligist before it gets worse. Unfortunatley for me I waited. If you dont want to do this I would suggest starting on proactiv or using clean and clear. I also have this amazing face mask that you can use as a spot treatment as well. Its very acne, pimples, and it shrinks pores. It's called Queen Helenes. Here is the website where you can get it http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.a...
I would seriously get it! It's inexpensive too!

Good Luck!

You could be a late bloomer with your skin. Perhaps you should rub your skin with moisturizer and wash your face often. Use good brands of lotion, such as Lubriderm or Curel, and apply it every hour or so. Another thing that you could try is to take a break and relax. Try going on vacation or shopping with friends.

birth control can be helpful for acne, regulating our period, preventing pregnancy, give lighter periods. weight gain can be a side effect but not always. just watch what you eat and exercise. drink a lot of water per day like 12-14 8oz glasses. water is great for the skin. fruits and veggies are good too. good luck :)

Drink lots of water!!!! sometimes that could be a big problem, a lot of sugar is not good for your skin.

after you wash your face moisturize always.

I always use oil of olay, I really love this product! It leaves your skin feeling silky without making it feel dry.

~hope this helps~

Use only natural things.
Here is what I do,
Cut a leaf of aloe transversely, moisten your face with the jelly inside of the leaf and rinse with water after 2 minutes, it´s free, no complications, no side effects and your skin will be young forever...

Wow, maybe college has been stressful for you (if you're in college). Neutrogena advanced solutions works pretty well if you want to try that.
