I used to do weight lifting and high intensity workouts, but am losing more inches just walking everyday, I try to get in 10,000 steps with a pedometer.

I find the more I exercise I do, the less cravings I have for food and when I do have cravings it's for healthy food because I don't want to undo all the hard work I've put in at the gym!! So I'm a firm believer that the two have to go hand in hand.
When you do have a craving, try having a herbal tea or a carrot, I find carrots so effective for curbing all cravings (weird I know). Set yourself rewards, say if you workout 5 times a week for a month then you buy yourself a new pair of shoes etc! You should loose 5 pounds easily if you up your exercise, and focus your diet around fresh veges, that's what I do!

Try a vegan diet. Not junk-vegan, but whole foods, plant based FOOD...OK, I know it sounds extreme, but how else can you eat all you want and have copious amounts of energy and still lose weight. All the protein and nutrients you could possibly use are in fruits and veggies AND you can still obsess about food and eat all the time and lose weight and feel fabulous. Of course, exercising is still important, but the studies I have read about have shown that rats who were fed a low animal protein diet actually had a higher body temp (meaning their metabolism was higher) and they voluntarily exercised more? Since I quit eating animal protein/fat I cannot believe how much better food tastes. I eat constantly and am still losing weight. Try it for a month, see what it can do for you!
Have fun!

You must be able to watch what you eat count calories. and workout. You can walk everyday start out with a set limit of distance then work you way up to it if you go shopping park a far away from the door. See your doctor he might have some helpful hints also. Join a gym where they have trainers that can set you on a workout schedule. these are only a few of the ideas out their.

There are 2 things you can do to stay in great shape.
1.Exercise
2.Eat healthy.
If you want to lose some weight eat healthy, eat in good portions, there are books and web sites on proportions of food you are supposed to eat. Also, follow the food triangle.
Exercise daily, if you have the time...
Good luck and hope this helps!
