because women have chosen to be treated as equals with men, this should apply to everything -including the draft.

Why would you draft women. Were not even able to be in combat situation. Most he jobs that we can do is all ready filled by the women all ready. So why draft more? If you send all the generation over to fight a war. Who would make the next generation for you? The American population went down after World War Two. Imagine what it would be like if you sent both men and women over.

You must uderstand that women were not even aloud to fight in combat in World War 2. I see no reason why we should draft our women. If there is a draft for men, the wemon need to stay here, at home and work to keep the country's economy up. I know I am being racist or that new word sexist! please, give me a break!!
I am a guy, and I will tell you right know that I would serve my country to my fullest. I believe that if conditions came to where we needed more troop, and they issued a draft, that all men over the age of 17 ( of course a age limit too, we cant have older men out there) should need to go. We can not let the war slip between our hold. Death would surely come to America. I would proudly serve my country, I know alot of other good men out there are willing to too. Why do yo think that there are so many in our volenteer service? They are true patriots, may God Jesus Christ Bless them, and Bless America.

No, women should not be allowed in the draft. This would leave virtually no one at home to take care of children and keep the country running. There would be only the very young and the old left to run this country. Where would that leave single moms, wives with husbands already in?
No, men should not be forced to join the military either. The draft would cause too many discrimination problems. There are too many of those already. We don't need anymore.

1. no because you would have to take into account whether the woman is pregnant or not because you shouldn't (obviously) send a pregnant woman to war.
2. yes if the war gets bad enough.
Drafting should ONLY be put into place if the war is so bad that the country (not an allie country either) is under such a threat that it is necessary (ie. about to be invaded or has been, etc)
However, I belive in national service. Completely different subject. People on national service who don't want to continue full time service should not be forced to go to war unless in a drafting situation in my books. They should be confined to home-country duties.

So, you don't think there are any women in the field in Iraq?
If they institue the draft, they will draft both. And - the war would end quickly because nobody would answer the call, and the anti-war protest movement would increase a thousand fold, and there would be a huge sucking sound as our young people headed for the Canada and Mexican border to avoid the draft.
It is real easy to support the war when you are sitting in front of your computer in your tidy whiteys eating pretzels. It is quite another thing with Uncle puts a rifle in your hands and throws you into the line of fire.

Yes - gender should not be discrimated against. Though no national draft currently exists. Though I believe such a law should be approved by the State's legislature. Being a staunch support of the 10th amendment.

In answer to both questions, I believe every able-bodied American youth should have to serve this country in one way or another.
Military or community service should not only be a requirement but could also be an incentive for reduced-cost higher education.
If we want to be the most technologically advanced and fruitful nation we can be, our youth need to understand that their efforts not only benefit the nation, but will grant them certain benefits. Universities should be more reasonably accessible to our citizens. The tuition rates for foreign students and those who are able but do not serve the country should be significantly raised to help subsidize tuitions for those citizens who do serve.

I don't know what country you are from. In the United States, all persons are volunteer. No one is forced to enter the armed forces, men or women. We have no draft system anymore.

Women should be treated the same as men. Even if that means being drafted like them to. The same goes for men.
