and if not how do you change it into an MP3 format?

My computer says its in Winamp media file.. is it in MP3?

right click on it and click on properties.

use total video converter to change the format.

erm right click the file and click properties. You can see what file type it is. If it's not mp3 simple.. open windows media player and open the audio file. Then go file save playlist as then type a name for the file and put a ".mp3" at the back for example the file name is monkeybanana then name it monkeybanana.mp3 and your done.

you can tell by looking at the end of the filename, if it ends in ".mp3" then its an mp3 file ie. "The Fray - fjkda.mp3"

If it doesnt have .mp3 then it isnt mp3 format and you can convert it by using an MP3 Converter program

Right click on the file anf go to properties there it will state if ti is, .wav .avi .mps ect.
