Contemporary. I love the music that my church band performs it is awesome. It is very hip and it gets people in the door to hear the message. The NEW SPRING BAND has played U2 and Everence and other songs that may relate to the message or series. If i had to listen to old time music I would not go.God bless. Many older people do not like it but if they don't like it loud they won't like heaven.

I prefer (and have always preferred) classical music at church. Thankfully, I'm in a church that uses it often. If not classical, then some of the beautiful older hymns will do.

I think your question was rude, and that you just wanted to hear what you wanted and that is why you said only ppl under 40, I guess you will reap what you have sown and ppl will be rude to you after your 40th birthday

I'm 16 and on sunday I would rather listen to/attempt to sing hymns rather than anything else.
But at a church party, anything that is tasteful and promote a positive image and also one that is uplifting.

Traditional hymns like Amazing Grace & stuff. Christian music that is trying to be all trendy annoys me; I prefer classic gospel.

How about 40somethings?
Definitely "contemporary." I am a musician (both vocal and instrumental) and have extensive experience with both contemporary and traditional worship styles. I am comfortable with either, but more "at home" with contemporary music.
