I believe it might be the time for me to replace my car. I don't feel like spending more than 15,000. Anyone own or recently bought a car that is reliable and durable that is under this price range? Cheaper and more reliability are better, at least for me. I don't really care about what kind of car I drive so any suggestion will be fine.

Well a general rule of thumb for good reliable cars that get decent gas milage as well is to buy foregin cars. Nissan, Honda, and Toyota are know well for reliability. Dont be tempted by Kia, and Hyundai. They are cheap cars for a reason...they break alot. Another good bet is Volvo. They can be a little expensive but a used one will be just as good as a new one. As a matter of fact Volvos built before 93' are better than ones from after. Also something that many people dont belive but actualy helps, if you can find out they day the car you are going to buy is built wich you can generaly find somewhere on the care usualy on the inside frame on the driverside door, if you see it was built on a Friday don't buy it. Don't buy anything built on a friday for that matter as for some reason the quality is generaly poor because who feels like working their hardest on a friday. Also if you buy a Toyota make sure it was built in Japan and not their Kentucky plant as that plant builds horrible cars.

i own a shop ,and i think a KIA is a reel good value for the money a ten year warranty or a 100 thousand miles that's pretty hard to beat also, but they are real good care,i started to buy one a while back, and didn't ,and then when i changed my mind i went back and it was gone, but there good cars, and they last well also i have a lot of friends who have bought these and really like them you might want to check one out either that or a good Nissan sentra ,there about one of the best cars on the road today, good luck i hope this helps.

id go with an old mercedes diesel.

something from 1983 to 1983 or thereabouts.

last forever, cheap to run and insure, built like a tank, and demand is such that you probably wont lose your money if you sell it in 2 years time.

oh, and about one third the cost of your price listed above.
