There are 66 books in the Bible. There is no book of Jasher'
in my Bible. In Genesis 6, Fallen Angels cohabited with human
women and created a half human, half angelic race. This is
why God sent the Great Flood. Only Noah & his wife and three
sons and three daughter-in-laws, were pure human and the
lineage that the Messiah would come from. Then God put these
evil spirits in prison in Jude 6, until the final judgement. Hope this helps.

The 'Book of Jasher' is one of the books mentioned in the bible. It has been translated, and can be found in Christian book stores. It gives an account of how 'angels' came down and started showing the people how to gene-splice with humans and animals. A good website on info pertaining to that is ' newswatchmagazine.org'.
About your question pertaining to the human-chimp thing; according to the Book of Jasher, there was so much gene-splicing going on, that that was one of the reasons for the great Flood. So I would say that it is against some religious beliefs. It is where I go to church!

As most religious writings haven't been really updated since the King James version of the Christian Bible, and even that was just a re-interpretation of much older works, the subject of genetic manipulation, being so recent, is irrelevant. If you went by the old stuff all the way, you wouldn't eat potatoes or tomatoes along with your bacon. How silly is that?

Yes, yet the old is new again, and you will want to dig deeper than just summoning the familiar allusions and precedents of Bible.
The truths are kept intentionally obsure, for the light and wisdom that avails of these truths does require the one who has access to it to wield tremendous merit, that it shall be kept safe and untainted and free of corrupt interpretation as has proven to be the results from human thought and actions.
Humankind does not yet merit this knowledge and still must for now learn by that slow, peculiar inertia of Nature itself, for the slow, deliberative way is safest.
Bear in mind here, the human being is still toying with tenability and use of nuclear weapons. Scarcely has he proved himself suitable or can he be allowed entree to the greater complements of knowledge.

To my knowledge there is not any biblical scripture to guide us in technology or medical advancement. Take a deep breath and follow your gut. The Creator didn't mean for us to make things so complicated.

No, there aren't.
There are scriptures agains witchcraft and oracles, etc.
I mean ... what does Jesus have to say about stem-cell research?
People may interpret scripture to imagine what he would have said, but they must remember, that is their interpretation, and they should not impose it on others.
So about cloning, etc, same goes.
