sicne it causes eye strain, can that decrease far eyesight overtime,or is it just temporary?

Using computers puts a strain on your eyes.... contributing to the deterioration of your eyesight.

No, but it does give you eye strain. Avoid this by moving your eyes from the screen to something medium distance away from you, then far distance. Do this about every 5 minutes and it will help a lot. Also, stop for a while every hour. Take a walk, get a glass of water, talk to a friend over the back fence.
