Some people (on here) have said that if you don't believe in God you WILL NOT go to heaven, regardless of whether you're a "good" person or a "bad" person. Others (on here, of the same faith) have stated that God loves everyone and even if you don't believe, if you're a "good" person, you WILL go to heaven.

So which is it?

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." --John 14:6
**The ONLY way to be saved and have eternal life in heaven, is to repent, ask forgiveness and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior; believing that He is the resurrected Son of God.

"He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God." --1 John 5:12-13
**There is NO salvation apart from Jesus.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works (your own good works), lest anyone should boast." --Ephesians 2:8-9
**There is nothing we can do ourselves to be saved. We can never do enough "good" things. Good works will not save you.
A "good" person who never receives Christ as Savior will go to hell, because they have rejected God's Son and instead believed in their own "goodness" to get them to heaven.
A murderer who repents and does accept Christ will be forgiven and go to heaven.

(Note: Sad to say but not everyone who calls themselves Christians actually are...for the reasons stated above. Believing in God, yet rejecting Jesus, is not acceptable to God. You must also believe in His Son.)

If you don't believe in God then of course you lack faith. Faith is the very characteristic igredient which makes a Christian a Christian. Without faith you will not go to heaven.

You cannot get to heaven by good works, if that were so there would be no purpose for Jesus to come from heaven to die for our sins. All the work to secure our salvation has already been accomplished when Jesus died on the cross.

We are in fact saved by God's grace.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

no one knows as fact...

we all have different beliefs and ideas...

i personally think EVERYONE will go to heaven... i think hell is only a temporary place... and i think all that matters is if you are a good person.
