Portuguese mixed with?

What connection do Portuguese have to other countries around the wolrd? I'm 100% portuguese my whole family lives there and my sister and I are the first generation here in America... We both had light blond hair until we were about 10 and now it's from light brown to dirty blond in the summer, also not to be at all racist but there are some angles of myself which dont look entirely european, does anyone know what percentages of different ethnic mixes do portuguese people have? I definately wanna know how related we are to Irish people too lol.. and also did the Irish come to the iberian pennisula or did they come from there and go to the british isles... i know we have something to do with them but i dont know how much and based more specifically on my family's genetics..

I am Portuguese from the Azores Sao Miguel my parents moved to Canada and i was born in Canada. I am the darker Portuguese, probably becuase of the Arab influence in Algarve and Lisboa. I know that Portugese way back then mixed with Phoenicans Tunisians Carthinigans Moors which are Northern African. These people were the first to settle on the land called Portugal and then the Germnic tribes and Romans invaded(im not surprised) These are all darker skin peoples wich makes for the Portuguese to have dark skin naturally and from the sun. I say to be a true Portuguese is to be mixed of all the different people who came from Portugal. A lot of people say I look Mestizo Arab and even sometimes mixed black. Portuguese are a mixed race, be proud of your culture. This is what makes Portuguese so beautiful and unique.

Earlier glaciation likely allowed freer movement of celtic and other people along the coast.There's really no telling who all have been along over time. You could maybe try the National Geographic DNA project. But just as well or better for your purpose if genealogy interests you is the 25 marker or greater Family Tree yDNA surname project if you are male. 12 marker's not worth much but it's a start if you only want ethnic typing.
